Wishing Don’t Make It So

Taking up residency for 4 weeks, I brought materials and molds and mess with me. Initial
thoughts in taking up this residency were to stop and look at what I had been making over the
winter months. Producing multiple identical forms, the work had become a mini factory,
meditative, repetitive.

The residency would allow for the space to properly view the work.

The first week was bookended between two storms and this week I’ve been temporarily displaced as the room was being used for church business.  This has given me time to reflect on the way this different environment will shape the work.
